Proverb 31:24-26

God continues to reveal to us how talented this Proverb's 31 Woman is! She was a seamstress who sews "Fine Linen", and girdles to be delivered to the merchants. Her strength and honor are are in her clothing. The Virtuous Woman was a woman who dress with respect, and people in her community knew it! And finally when she opens her mouth, she speaks with wisdom, and the law of kindness was in her tougue.

God has truly put an awesome example before us to follow. This chapter was not an accident, it was put here for our rememberance on what a Virtuous Woman could be!

Proverbs 31:20-23

We are studying in this lesson about the Proverbs 31 Woman stretching her hands to the poor, and reaching out to the needy. It teaches each us about extending our hands to help someone, that is less fortunate than we are. There is a lot work for each an everyone of us, and never enough people to do the job at hand. It speaks about how she was not afriad of the snow, she never stopped providing provisions for her family, even in the worse climates. I love how she clothed her family with scarlet garments, which meant she dressed her family for SUCCESS (the best)! She even maketh clothing for herself out of tapestry, and her clothing was fine silk, and purple.

The amazing thing is that her husband was known in the gates of the community, and why because of his wife! This Proverbs 31 Woman was a model example of a woman, which cause her husband to be known among the elders. How good is that? So ladies we have work to do, and no more time to waste!

So here is your checklist:

  • How is your household?
  • How are they dressing?
  • Do the elders of your community know your husband?

It time to get busy ladies!

Be Blessed!

Proverbs 31:17-19

We are still on the path of discovering the gifts of the Virtuous Woman, she has given us resources to use in our daily lives. This woman utilized her hands greatly, and I was curious about some of tools, and fibres that were mentioned in the bible. I was amazed after doing some research how many websites that had enough information to formulate what the Virtuous Woman's tools looked like, and how the flax was processed into fine linen cloth. These methods are still being used today, but by machinery! Yes, the human hands has some input in preparing the product for the machinery, but it is nothing like utilizing the human hands to preform the actual task.

I remember when I took my first sewing class, not realizing that I too was using some form of spindling by threading the needle on the sewing machine, laying out the pattern of a dress design, and piecing the material together. I remember being so proud of the finish products!

And yes I did "perceive that my merchandise was good"!

This is your opportunity to "gird your loins with strength, and strenghteneth your arms, and prepare to perform something by using your hands".

Proverb 31:13-16

First I would like to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all the mothers, especially my mother. I can truly rise up and call her blessed!

This message is a continuation of Proverb 31 "Virtuous Woman", I am taking an indept look at how this woman was blessed to operate in her giftings. I will be discussing how she seeketh wool, flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. And how she was compared to the likeness of the merchants ships, this woman traveled afar for food provisions to feed her family and handmaidens. The virtuous woman also was a buyer of land, and she knew that the land was not going to sit and be non-productive. So she tapped into her agricultural skills and planted a vineyard.

This woman truly was blessed, she is our road map of how we need to be operating in our gifts!

Be Blessed!
