We are still on the path of discovering the gifts of the Virtuous Woman, she has given us resources to use in our daily lives. This woman utilized her hands greatly, and I was curious about some of tools, and fibres that were mentioned in the bible. I was amazed after doing some research how many websites that had enough information to formulate what the Virtuous Woman's tools looked like, and how the flax was processed into fine linen cloth. These methods are still being used today, but by machinery! Yes, the human hands has some input in preparing the product for the machinery, but it is nothing like utilizing the human hands to preform the actual task.
I remember when I took my first sewing class, not realizing that I too was using some form of spindling by threading the needle on the sewing machine, laying out the pattern of a dress design, and piecing the material together. I remember being so proud of the finish products!
And yes I did "perceive that my merchandise was good"!
This is your opportunity to "gird your loins with strength, and strenghteneth your arms, and prepare to perform something by using your hands".
